1.- EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Port de Paix is a city situated in the North West of Haiti and is the lead one of the Department. For a long time, P Paix has been one of the leading ports of the Republic of Haiti, when it comes to goods transportation from the United States in particular from South Florida and Miami. However, I spite of this past prosperity, most of the city in habitants still strive into poverty from the lack of economic opportunities.  This situation has dire consequences on Basic Education needs, event at the primary level. This is one of the key motivations of ORDP, a nonprofit 501C3 Organization in the launch and construction of a new first level education school in Dolcine: Ecole Ste Theres de L’Enfant Jesus, a hardly fight of many years that has resulted in the launch of operations in October 2024. However to accommodate the needs of the first 80 students that have been recruited , an estimated 50.000 USD will be necessary for the costs of operating the school expenses  ( employees' salaries , and food for the students ) , to have a secured good fence , purchase the necessary office and educational  equipment  and be able to manage a stock of materials to sell for uniforms preparation.

2.- MISSION

The Mission of ORDP, as a Haitian- American Based foundation is a to be a Foundation, dedicated to help the poor living in the second section achieve their dreams mostly in the area of EDUCATION.  

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The project of operating the school will focus on the essential 

• Operating the school expenses that will focus on administrative salaries for School Director , guardian and cleaner
• Salaries for teachers
• Expenses for educational supplies
• Construction of a fence
• Food expenses for the 80 students during year long

 

GOAL AND OBJETIVES

The goal of the Institution is to be one the leading experts I the area of Education in the region of the 2nd section. Specific objectives will include: 

- Extend the school to 500 students in the next three years
- Be able to add a technical division for adults as a night school alternative to allow more people to benefit from education 
- Construct a state-of-the-art general laboratory that will include computer learning, and some technical professions like lab for construction studies related, and studies for ladies like cosmetology, sewing, and artwork.

 

STRUCTURE 
 
- The Structure will focus on members that will pay an annual membership fee of 100 US per year. for the following 5 years, the organization will recruit a total of 1000 members increments of 200 per year. The Members elect every three ( 3 ) years a Board of Directors that will designate a paid Executive secretary that will be housed in a headquarters. Headquarters will be shared by other organizations that will share the same secretary. Each organization wilh share costs.  ( 5 to 10 entities will be enough ) 
- The Board of Directors will delegate in the case of this project to the Executive Director of the School that will supervise both the administrative personnel and the educational personnel . Each will have a duties description and will pay taxes from their salary if necessary. From a general standpoint , the staff will be managed in Miami by a General Manager assised by a Seretary
- The Treasurer will handle and supervise all expenditures and remittances and present a report to the Board with the help a a consultant.

MARKETING 

To raise the amount of $ 50.000 USD necessary for the organization for the present fiscal year , the fist step will be to have a database of Port de Paix ians living in the area of Miami and South florida in general . the Database will be obtained b referrals from specific groups until a level of at least 200 citizens is reached. Once a list is obtained  , a a website will be able to be produced for the city of port de paix including a video and a book to be produced . A Website for ORDP  will be as well necessary.

The strategy will be to prepare a strategic plan of development  including education and the project itself .

Fundraising strategy will include : 

- Small donations to be set up will GOFUNDME
- Purchase of T shirts at the Effigy of the Schools 
- Crowdfunding campaign with Indiegogo and Kickstarter that are visible nationwide
- Sales of Items on dropshipping platforms that are useful to the community 
- Purchase of Magazines to do a Magazine fundraiser in the area of  Church since most of the citizens of port de paix are religious people 
- Search for Bigger donations from Some cities of the Miami Dade Region like Miami Dade County ( Mayor Calfva )  the City of North Miami and North Miami Beach 
- Search for Bigger donations from Some big Businesses in the Miami Dade area.
- Students sponsorships from individuals

 

  OPERATIONAL STRATEGY

The Operations strategy will be as follows: 

- The Fundraising will be provided to EICE ,  a consulting firm that will receive no upfront costs but 20 % of the proceeds . The Consultant will manage the funds along with the Board along ina special account open for the school Project .
- Each proceed will be split 80-20 between the parties
- A report will be presented to the Board on a monthly basis by the General Manager
- A timeline will be established by the Consultant
